Placemat

Have any of you tried this easy placemat pattern by Purl Soho? They have some exquisitely beautiful, yet very simple crochet projects that make you want to pick up your crochet hook and happily slip into crochet-land.

 

Having finished this, it makes me sad that I was restricted by my colour choices. I added a few layers of half double crochets in the end to give it a pop of colour.
